| i usually hate these and find them annoying. but sense today seems to be the trend, i will add to it.. I awoke to a phone call from my mom about noon today, asking if i know a Mike Barrera from Somerset that was in the class of 95. i said yes. We where both in activities at school together and when I transferred from Somerset to another school half way through my 11th year(also when i joined the reserves), he was one of the few ppl i kept up for that year and half with till i went off for AIT after i graduated. saw him a few times after i came back, then i stopped by his house and he was gone. he had joined up and was at basic. that was the last i had seen him. every once in a while i would take a drive by and see if he was home. but never did see him. Well mom goes on to tell me he was killed in Iraq. his tank had hit a land mine. he was bady hurt and didn't make it. it didn't hit me. i was like wow. but until i pulled up the story from a local web site and saw the video from the news cast did it really hit me. story in text there is a link to the copy of the segment of the news on that page. so ppl no matter your feelings on if we should or shouldn't be in foreign lands, lets not forget those that are doing there job over seas and away from home. Even now more than ever sense the holidays are coming up…..
